Just noticed that most of Reginald Fleming Johnston's books - he was the tutor to the boy emperor.....have been republished and are available on amazon.com...

and also noticed that Peking by Juliet Bredon, the 1921 classic is also available.

Great books... and the price is good too. The books have the original pictures and Twilight has a bonus chapter by Johnston under a pen name describing his meeting with the 13th Dalai Lama... From Peking to Manadalay was probably the inspiration for Hilton's Lost Horizon...
